I am working with a program that can only read seg2 files. The original data I am working with is also in seg2, and obspy reads this just fine. However, when I try to exported some processed clips back into seg2, it tells me that seg2 is not a valid write format. Is there any plan to implement this in the near future? is there another suggested workaround? I have looked at some previous replies on these forums but none of it was that helpful. thanks in advance!
I do not know of anybody working on write support for SEG2. So the likelihood that we get SEG2 write support in the near to mid term is very low, unless suddenly somebody appears that wants to implement it. Sadly we are stretched thin anyways in core maintenance and falling behind on everything, so this is not a priority for core maintainers.
