Hi,
The link on the obspy wiki https://github.com/obspy/obspy/wiki/Installation-on-windows-using-a-pre-build-package-%28pypi%29 for downloading the easy-install script is hijacked. I just spent an hour with my ISP concerning threat warnings to my IP address. Once cleared we recreated the situation and confirmed that link is the problem. Be advised!!!

Indead the link was hijacked. Thanks Randy for informing us -
distribute is not maintained anymore and has been merged with
setuptools - so I changed the link to the latter. Sorry for any
trouble you had.
