obspy for (local) shear-wave splitting

Hi folks,

I’m looking to see if there is a python code for performing local shear-wave splitting measurements for a data set of thousands of earthquakes, predominantly in a subducting slab.

I see there’s splitlab in matlab:

and MFAST in fortran:
http://mfast-package.geo.vuw.ac.nz/

I didn’t see anything immediately here:

So I figured I’d ask this user list.

Hi Carl,

What you show there is all I know in the field. If you want to spend some time on it, I’d be super happy to help translating some parts (specifically MFAST). You should also maybe contact Martha Savage to know if there are current initiatives on her side to do that.
