Hi,
I want to draw your attention to the premature passing away of John Hunter, creator of Matplotlib.
He died at the age of 44, leaving his wife and three daughters.
I think that we owe a lot to him. ObsPy is deeply founded on Matplotlib, like many other Python projects.
John’s friends set up a Memorial Fund to support his family, and especially the education of his daughters.
