I've read on the Trac that you plan (hope) to support Guralp's GCF ... How ready is this plugin ? Can I get a copy of the current source ? Can I help ?

I actually suggested it and already obtained the C libs from the Guralp
support staff as well as started collecting example files. However other
stuff was more pressing, so there is no real work done yet - sorry.
I'm not sure when I'll have enough time to stick further into this
topic. So if you want to start this module - go ahead 
I'll be happy
to join in development later on.
