Hi,
as our IT is planning to upgrade our Linux machines to Debian stretch, we were wondering whether an ObsPy package is planned for this latest Debian release?

Hi Christian,
the build is pretty much set up, but.. since Debian stretch is already
shipping matplotlib 2.0 (which was a big surprise for me, since it was
released only a couple months before stretch's freeze) this is a bit
problematic as ObsPy 1.0.3 is not yet fully stable with mpl 2.0 (but
master is and 1.1.0 will be as well).
I'm considering to build an interim package off of master, but
eventually when we release overdue 1.1.0 all problems with stretch
packaging will go away anyway.
